Project:

GNP, one of the largest insurance companies in Mexico, engaged Quarksoft to improve the performance and maintainability of their quote and policy management system. Quarksoft designed and implemented a modern Software Architecture, which used Web-Services to expose functionality previously only accessible through a Tuxedo connection. The new system was based on the J2EE platform, using a mix of open-source components such as the Struts and Spring frameworks and the IBM J2EE stack to deliver an open, high performance, cost effective and maintainable solution. The project helped set new software process and Architecture standards within GNP and was completed within 1.5% of the original estimate.
